Sunday small business retailer management advice: chase low hanging fruit

Too often we see retailers spend too much time chasing opportunities that are of questionable value or are far far away from the core business.
When working with retailers to help them improve their business we recommend they chase low hanging fruit.
By low hanging fruit we mean opportunities that are obvious from the business performance data and that can be implemented without capital cost – usually requiring a small time investment, often just minutes.
In our POS software, for example, the 10×10 Report shows what sells with what. This report is a perfect start to chasing low hanging fruit as it shows what’s working. What’s working can guide what else you can do. We offer a service whereby we will look at the 10×10 report for retailers to identify opportunities for them.
We enjoy helping our customers to grow their businesses.
