In addition to focusing on changes flowing from the promotions last week, we are looking at training opportunities for our new management team and others in the company. We invest, on average, the equivalent of between 5% and 8% of our payroll each year in direct professional development.
Next year, the percentage spend will increase because of the considerable expansion of the business. We are talking with VECCI and the Australian Institute of Management about their course offerings and have already scheduled training for several of our team members.
Professional development is key in any business but more so for us because of what we do and the growth we are experiencing. Good training supports our preference for training from within.
