I have had an opportunity to reflect over the last 24 hours on the privilege of representing newsagents through participation in the Melbourne public hearings for the Productivity Commission inquiring into Retail tenancies in Australia.

While I wrote the original submission on behalf of newsXpress and presented at the hearing on Wednesday in the same capacity, I have been able to draw on years working with more than 2,000 small business retailers and the 1,450 small business newsagents we currently serve here at Tower Systems.

Beyond the inquiry itself, participation have opened other doors through which the small business story can be put.

Being able to draw on the collective data of our user community is invaluable and I am glad to have had the opportunity this week and the new opportunities opening as a result.
