We now have data from 225 newsagents to participate in our latest newsagency sales benchmark study. This is providing our biggest dataset yet. We are taking care in assessing the data as we know the value our benchmark report has in the newsagency channel.
We now hope to publish the final results early next week. This will include up to date sales performance data as well as basket (sales efficiency) data. We will also include in the public report useful data on efficiency by some product categories.
While we enjoy reading what competitor POS Solutions has to say about benchmarking, we see their posts on the topic as designed to detract from the genuinely valuable and good work we do every quarter on this benchmarking project. We would much rather see them undertake comprehensive sales benchmarking research for their own newsagency customers.
