Tower Systems CEO Mark Fletcher is in London this week participating in Retail Week Conference 2012 along with more than 1,000 others from UK, European and other retail businesses. While the conference agenda is packed with excellent presentations and workshops about retail trends and retail management, it is the networking with retailers and service providers to retailers where connections are made and valuable insights shared.
Participation in this conference in London continues the significant investment by Tower Systems in researching and learning about retail trends overseas. The company is already benefiting from having its own unique world view and experience on which to draw. This is reflected in the latest software update as well as operational enhancements within the business.
It is important that software companies step outside the development lab and beyond their existing customer base if they are to innovate. Already, the time in London looking at retail trends and best practice around IT infrastructure has presented opportunities which will provide us with competitive advantages through our Point of Sale software.
Given the competitive nature of vertical market software, we will not be detailing learnings from London here. These will become evident over time in software updates.
